Emily Rekstis is a New York City-based beauty, wellness and lifestyle writer and editor. She is currently the online Style & Beauty Editor at UsWeekly.
After serving two years as a beauty assistant at Harper's Bazaar and Self magazine, she gave full-time freelance a go. In doing so, she covered health and beauty news on the weekends as New Beauty's weekend editor, written Get the Looks for Maybelline and Essie during NYFW, stepped back into print as the temporary beauty editor at Star and Ok! and wrote for tons of amazing publications like Racked, BuzzFeed, The Cut and Fashionista. She currently serves as the online Style & Beauty Editor at UsWeekly and has even dipped her toe into the theater world. In 2018, co-wrote a play, Codependent, with her college roommate and best friend based of their relationship. It will be making it’s debut at the Capital Fringe Festival in July 2019.
